EVN’s President and CEO Tran Dinh Nhan works with Nghi Son 2 Power Limited Liability Company

On July 6, in Hanoi, EVN’s President and CEO Tran Dinh Nhan had a meeting with leaders of Nghi Son 2 Power Co., Ltd., to discuss cooperation activities between the two sides.

Attending the meeting was Mr. Ngo Son Hai – EVN’s Vice President.

On the side of Nghi Son 2 Electric Co., Ltd, there was Mr. Hirohide Sagara – Chief Executive Officer in the previous term; Mr. Chung Kook Choi - the new CEO.

At the meeting, Mr. Hirohide Sagara thanked the leaders of EVN and its subsidiaries for their support and close collaboration extended to him personally and Nghi Son 2 Power Co., Ltd. during his term as the company’s CEO. Mr. Sagara wished that EVN and Nghi Son 2 Power Co., Ltd. would maintain a good partnership in the coming time.

Mr. Chung Kook Choi - the new CEO of Nghi Son 2 Power Co., Ltd. showed his empathy to EVN for the difficulties in electricity supply in 2023; At the same time, he looked forward to receiving support and close cooperation from EVN in the future.

Speaking at the meeting, EVN’s President and CEO Tran Dinh Nhan highly appreciated the efforts that Nghi Son 2 Power Co., Ltd. had made to successfully handle the failure of turbine unit 2 and restore its operation.

The leader of EVN congratulated Mr. Hirohide Sagara for successfully completing the assigned tasks and; at the same time welcomed the new CEO Chung Kook Choi.

The President and CEO of EVN hoped that Mr. Chung Kook Choi would inherit and advance the good accomplishments of the company in the past time; attempt to secure the availability of power units as well as fuel for power production, contributing to meeting the increasing electricity demand of Vietnam.

At the meeting, the two sides discussed some issues relating to off-taking requirements in 2022, handing over the 500kV switchyard from Nghi Son 2 Power Co. Ltd. to EVN.
