Exchanging potential for cooperation in offshore wind power field between EVN and Danish enterprises

On 23 June 2023 in Hanoi, EVN’s Vice President Nguyen Tai Anh welcomed and worked with the delegation of the Embassy of Denmark and CIP Group, COP Company, on the potential for cooperation in the offshore wind power field.

Attending the meeting there was Mr. Nicolai Prytz - Danish Ambassador to Vietnam, and Mr. Stuart Livesey - General Director of COP Vietnam.

According to Mr. Nicolai Prytz - Danish Ambassador to Vietnam, with the advantages of terrain, Denmark is one of the leading countries in renewable energy, especially offshore wind power. In which, CIP Group and COP Company are rich experienced units in this field. The Danish Ambassador to Vietnam emphasized that Denmark and Vietnam have cooperated for a long time in the field of energy and green growth. He wishes to support and coordinate with EVN in implementing feasibility studies of offshore wind power projects in the coming time, accelerating the goal of developing the offshore wind power industry in Vietnam.

EVN leader also informed more about the orientation and steps of Vietnam's power industry in the context of energy transition towards the goal of Vietnam reducing net emissions to zero by 2050.

The two sides also exchanged and discussed the potential for cooperation in the offshore wind power field. They agreed to continue discussing and detailing the contents in the coming time.
