From 1 July 2022, EVN applied e-invoice template according to the regulations of the Ministry of Finance

From 1 July 2022, Vietnam Electricity applied the electronic invoice (e-invoice) template without the tax authority's code and fully transmits invoice data to the electronic storage system of the tax authority.

Currently, EVN is providing electricity services to nearly 30 million customers. To deploy e-invoices according to regulations, EVN has transformed and upgraded its invoicing systems, connecting with the General Department of Taxation to directly transmit invoice data and design invoice representations and invoice details complying with the regulations of the Taxation industry and inheriting the advantages of the current electricity bill template. The e-invoice template as prescribed in the above documents has some changes compared to the current one as follows:

- Electricity bill deployed in accordance with the provisions of the General Department of Taxation shows only the electricity amount that customers need to pay.

- The detailed electricity bill payment, customers can easily follow the detailed list attached to the Invoice

The implementation of the e-invoices application according to regulations does not change the way to look up and track electricity bills and ensure necessary information, besides bringing more convenient benefits to electricity customers such as:

- The management, search and storage of customers' invoices is easy and convenient, no longer worrying about lost invoices. When needing to use e-invoices, customers only need to access the Power sector’s Customer Care website and application and receive invoices anywhere with the internet in a few simple steps.

- Having inheritance to create closeness, ensuring full information according to regulations on invoices of the Ministry of Finance.

- Convenience when doing procedures with tax authorities: all tax administrative procedures of businesses are also carried out electronically, helping power customers reduce the time to make VAT declarations.

- In addition, e-invoices also contribute to minimizing the use of printed paper, in line with the trend of digital transformation, contributing to environmental protection.

With the spirit of always creating favorable conditions and constantly improving the efficiency of customer service, EVN is a pioneering state-owned enterprise in deploying e-invoices on the customer management software system since 2012. E-invoices are a clear expression of EVN's determination and efforts in continuing the process of simplifying and transparent information, providing electricity services with the orientation of "digitizing all business & customer service activities” to “electronicize transactions with customers”. At the same time, the implementation of electric services by the electronic method has shown seriousness and drastic action in the direction of Digital Transformation in the Government's public services, whereby all information and services are transparent, clear, with regular monitoring and urging mechanism.
