Highlights in the third week of July 2017: Electricity market price climbed up by 11.9%

In the third week of July 2017 (from July 17 – 23, 2017), the electricity market price increased by 11.9% against that in the second week of July 2017 (from July 10 – 16, 2017), due to the high dispatch of thermal power generation sources at high prices.

In details, the average price at which power plants sold to the market at transaction time was VND 1,234 / kWh (excluding loss of the power grid).

Transmission charge calculated on power sales was VND 104 per kWh; distribution and retail charge calculated on power sales was VND 292.11 per kWh; overhead cost and other auxiliary cost calculated on power sales was VND 7.32 per kWh.

Also in the week, the total electricity generation output of the power system reached 3.77 billion kWh, experienced a decrease of 7.13% against the second week of July 2017, caused by aftermaths of Talas storm.

The power system satisfactorily maintained transmission of electricity from the North to the Centre and to the South.
