According to Mr. Ngo Son Hai – EVN Deputy Director, the Conference aimed at declaring the scientific research projects, reports of educational and scientific individuals, organizations and other units participating in the power activities across the country including EVN. EVN would like to share experience, exchange, cooperate with other units, organizations and individuals to further strengthen science and technology activities of the Power industry over the country.

At the plenum in the morning of November 15th, 2017, the delegates were given reports and discussed the following subjects: Solutions for developing a flexible power transmission system; research on building an expansive supervision system for Vietnam power system; connecting solar power to the power grid;…

The conference summarized a number of EVN’s typical science and technology applications over the past years, for example: roll compaction concrete hydropower dams, modern environmental treatment technology in coal-fired thermal power plants, wind energy, solar power in the power source field; superconducting applications, low-loss transformers, GIS substations, hotline repair technology without cut-off in power transmission; developing software system for general use within the Group, information technology system for level-based power market operation, information retrieval system, remote register reading in production and business management.

Specially, EVN has built remote control centres and unmanned transforming stations in 2017. The Group is targeting for 100% 110kV  stations and 60% 220kV stations both types of which are unmanned until 2020.
