This fact has been recently announced by Vietnam Report Joint Stock Company and Vietnamnet Online Newspaper regarding listing and ranking of top 500 largest Vietnamese enterprises in 2016.
According to the report, EVN stands fourth in the VNR500 Ranking Board. Ranking first in the list is Vietnam Oil and Gas Corporation, followed by Samsung Electronics Company Limited Vietnam, and then Viettel Mobile.
This is the ninth consecutive time that EVN is ranked in the top 10 largest enterprises.
EVN is one of the four largest enterprises in Vietnam in the year 2016
The VNR500 rankings are the research findings of Vietnam Report, conducted independently, scientifically and in compliance with international standards. To ensure objectiveness and accuracy of the rankings, information provided by enterprises is used to verify data before publication.
The VNR500 rankings are based on a fundamental criterion, i.e. total revenues of enterprises. In addition, other criteria such as profit, growth rate, number of employees, total asset, and prestige in the media are also considered as further evidences of enterprises’ strength in each aspect.
This year is the tenth continuous year of VNR500 publication in order to recognize and honor enterprises those contribute significantly to the economic development of Vietnam in the previous years.
As known, in 2016, number of EVN’s subsidiaries being ranked in the top VNR500 increases by one company compared to the year 2015 (which is Da Nhim – Ham Thuan – Da Mi Hydropower Joint Stock Company).
Also in the ranking list, the most remarkable case is the Northern Power Corporation who moves forward 9 levels than the year 2015 to reach the 9th enterprise in the list. The National Power Transmission Corporation moves upward 20 levels to reach position 67th.
