Mo Cay 220kV substation 110kV Energized

Southern Project Management Board (SPMB) of the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) has successfully energized Mo Cay 220kV substation – celebrating 41st anniversary of liberation the South for national reunification, 30 April, and the Labor Day 1 May.

The newly-built Mo Cay 220 kV substation is located in Tan Loc hamlet, Tan Hoi commune, Mo Cay Nam district, Ben Tre province. It consist of a new 220/110 kV substation having installed capacity of 2 x 125 MVA with 02 three-phase auto-transformers 220/110/22 kV-125 MVA and at this stage, the first 3-phase 125 MVA auto-transformer has been installed.

Mo Cay 220 kV substation upon completion shall strengthen the regional 220 kV - 110 kV power connection, facilitate power receiving and utilize production of Coastal Power Center, reduce capacity power and energy loss, improve the system reliability, and satisfy the demands for socio-economic development and security and national defense of Ben Tre province and neighbouring areas.

The project has a total investment of over VND 330 billion VND, which is invested by EVNNPT; managed by SPMB on behalf of the investor; designed by Power Construction Consulting Company No.3; executed by Joint Venture of Vietnam Machinery Erection Corporation and Licogi joint stock company No.16 then taken over by Power Transmission Company No.4 upon completion.
