Previously, on 30 June 2021, the AT2 transformer (220kV-250MVA) was energized. Thus, Lao Bao 220kV substation is ready to release the capacity of wind power plants in the western part of Quang Tri province to be prepared for commercial operation.
The work is part of the project of Lao Bao 220kV substation and Dong Ha-Lao Bao 220kV power line, which is invested by the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT), and is managed and operated by the Projects Management Board of Central Power Works (CPMB), is taken over and the operated by Power Transmission Company 2.
AT1 transformer at Lao Bao 220kV substation has just been successfully energized
The Lao Bao 220kV substation (in Tan Hop commune, Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri province) has a scale of construction of a new 220/110/22kV substation including two 250MVA transformers.
The work, which was completed on schedule despite the complicated disease situation, showed great efforts of CPMB and construction units on the construction site.
At the same time, the Dong Ha-Lao Bao 220kV power line is also expected to be energized by the end of September 2021. These are important works in ensuring wind power plants are put into commercial operation before 1 November 2021 (the milestone according to Decision 39/2018/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister), for wind power plants to operate efficiently and maximize capacity.
Along with that, the project contributes to transmit the capacity of hydropower plants in the western part of Quang Tri province to the national power system; contributing to ensuring power supply for Quảng Trị province.
