The project has been started early October 2018, with a total investment cost of VND 54.1 billion, funded from the state budget of Quang Ninh province, with the aim of supplying electricity to 486 unelectrified households in residential zones in remote areas.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tinh - Director of Quang Ninh PC said, after more than 3 months of implementation, with the attention and support of the whole political system, the project was completed two months ahead of schedule.
The electrification of 100% of rural households in the province contributes to poverty reduction, promoting economic development, ensuring security - national defense, enabling deep-lying, remote and mountainous areas to catch up with the lowland.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Long - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee praised and acknowledged efforts of Quang Ninh PC and contractors in speeding up and completing the Project before Ky Hoi Lunar New Year, bringing people in remote areas the joy of having electricity before the new year.
In implementing a strategic breakthrough relating to physical infrastructure, Quang Ninh province has paid attention and devoted huge investment resources to the development of power infrastructure, especially in remote, mountainous areas, islands, extremely difficult communes and villages in the province.
The completion of the project on supplying electricity to residential zones of less than 20 households in the province is an important component under Program 135 of the province, with the aim of removing communes and villages from the extremely difficult group. Thereby, it contributes to enabling Quang Ninh to "reach the destination" one year ahead of schedule in completing the new rural construction program by 2020.
