Mr. Park Eun Joo confirms the great role of the power sector in supporting Samsung Vietnam's robust development
According to Mr. Park Eun Joo, Samsung Vietnam was first established in Yen Phong Industrial Zone (Bac Ninh) in 2008. Through nearly a decade, Samsung Vietnam has established more factories in Thai Nguyen, Ho Chi Minh City, a Research and Development Center in Hanoi with a total of about 160,000 employees. In 2017 alone, Samsung Vietnam has exceeded its $ 50 billion export target.
In order to achieve such a robust growth and development, in addition to advanced technical technologies, we are fortunate to have an active support from the Government of Vietnam, Vietnam Electricity in reliably supplying electricity - the most important factor for production activities.
EVNNPC has implemented a lot of investment projects with the aim of supplying stable and high quality power to Samsung Vietnam. In 2018, Samsung Vietnam will invest USD 120 million to improve backup power lines. In the coming time, through regular meetings between the power sector and Samsung Vietnam, specific implementation plans will be worked out, aiming for increasingly stable power supply and promoting the mutual relationship between the two parties ".
Being also a large customer of EVNNPC, with monthly electricity bill of up to tens of billion dongs, Mr. Lieu Minh Ngoc - Deputy General Director of Thanh Thang Cement Joint Stock Company shared that during the past time Thanh Thang Cement company (based in Ha Nam - reporter) and EVNNPC have a close relationship, being reliable partners of each other, regularly exchanging information on electricity demand and supply.
With the motto "customers are the center", in 2018, EVNNPC will continue its renovation program with priority given to the development of a more stable and modern power network, improving the quality of human resources, elevating the customer service system in order to continue maintaining its position.
