At the meeting, the leader of Hon Gai Coal Company gave brief information on the company's production and business situation. This is a coal supplier with a volume of about 2 million tons/year for thermal power plants of EVN. The company has performed well in environmental protection and restoration such as 100% of wastewater is treated according to standards; waste dumps are covered with greenery.
At the visiting and working session at Thanh Cong coal mine, Mr. Board Duong Quang Thanh - EVN’s Chairman of the Member said: The Coal-Mineral Industry and the Electricity Industry have similarities in historical traditions, as well as contributions to the cause of independence, defense and construction of the Fatherland of Vietnam. There are similarities in the connection among generations of officials, leaders and the working class between the two groups.
EVN's leaders expect VINACOMIN to always work closely with EVN and EVN's thermal power plants in ensuring the coal supply for power production, to join hands to ensure the country's energy security.
On the same day, the delegation of EVN visited the coal production and mining area at a Position of minus 220m in the Thanh Cong coal mine area. Vietnam Electricity has donated VND 500 million to Thanh Cong coal mine workers.
