Vietnam to facilitate Siemens’s investment in energy field

The statement was made by Vice President Trinh Dinh Dung at the meeting with Mr. Cedrik Neike – Member of the Executive Board of Siemens (Germany),  on November 13th, 2017 in Hanoi.

Appreciating Siemens’s projects in Vietnam, Vice President Trinh Dinh Dung said it is time for Vietnam to develop energy infrastructure, especially power source projects in order to meet the demand of economic development. At the same time, it is required to upgrade, develop power transmission system, deploy technology in management and operation in order to ensure safety and cost-saving.

Mr. Cedrik Neike stated that at the present, Siemens has been doing efficiently in the energy field, especially thermal power; providing technical solutions in controlling, operating the power grid. In the future, Siemens expects to expand its business in the software industry; develop transportation infrastructure through providing traffic control and smart city solutions.

Siemens has seen Vietnam as one of the dynamic economies which holds a special rank among the region. Thus, Vietnam is not only an absolutely potential market for Siemens products but also an attracting choice to expand the production investment in order for exports to other markets over the world.
