Hanoi Power Corporation (EVNHANOI), in collaboration with Operation Smile, recently awarded a grant under the program "71 Smiles - Lighting Up the Future" at the Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Hospital (Hanoi) to support surgeries for 71 underprivileged children with craniofacial deformities.
This program is part of the 2025 Customer Appreciation Month activities and aims to celebrate the 71st anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnamese Electricity Sector (December 21, 1954 – December 21, 2025). This is also the fifth consecutive year that EVNHANOI has cooperated with Operation Smile in supporting surgical procedures for children with craniofacial deformities.
Mr. Le Anh Duong, Deputy General Director of EVNHANOI, said: “EVNHANOI always wants to accompany the community, not only by safe and continuous power supply, but also through practical social welfare activities. This year, we hope to contribute to helping children have more opportunities to integrate, be confident, and live a more fulfilling life.”

According to EVNHANOI, the free surgery program for children with craniofacial deformities is part of a series of community activities to be implemented in December 2025. During the same period, the Corporation will visit and present gifts to poor households and families receiving preferential treatment in Hanoi; donate fire safety equipment cabinets to high-risk residential areas; and install solar-powered streetlights as part of the "Lighting Up Rural Roads" program in many suburban districts.
