Delegates affixing name board for expanded 500kV Substation - Ialy Hydropower Plant

The expanded 500kV Substation - Ialy Hydropower Plant (in Iamnong Commune, Chu Pah District, Gia Lai Province) is one of the component projects of the Expanded Ialy Hydropower Plant Project, invested by Vietnam Electricity, to connect and transmit the capacity of the Ialy Hydropower Plant Expansion (360MW) to the national power system. The Ialy Hydropower Company plays the role of both a Consulting and Supervision Unit for equipment installation and an operation management unit when the work is completed. The work was energized in November 2024.

Delegates visiting expanded 500kV Substation

During the construction process, there were many challenges, from harsh weather conditions to strict technical and safety requirements. Typically, Ialy Hydropower Company not only organizes construction but also has to ensure the safe and continuous operation of existing equipment with a generating capacity of 720MW, and is not allowed to interrupt completely. With the close direction of the Party Committee, the Board of Directors of the Company, and the determination and continuous efforts of the team of engineers, workers, the Power Project Management Board 2 (representing the investor), the construction contractor, etc, the project was completed on schedule, ensuring quality and absolute safety in operation, contributing to speeding up the progress of energizing the expanded Ialy Hydropower Plant.
