EVN Vice President Nguyen Dinh Phuoc holds talks with Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC)

On the afternoon of 18 August in Hanoi, Nguyen Dinh Phuoc, Vice President of Vietnam Electricity (EVN), held talks with Ms. Joyce Tee, Managing Director, Head of Non-Japanese Corporate Banking at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC).

During the meeting, the two sides focused their discussions on financial cooperation to support EVN’s investment needs for power generation and grid projects in the coming period.
Ms. Joyce Tee highly appreciated the longstanding cooperation between SMBC and EVN. She noted that SMBC stands ready to leverage its experience, professional expertise, and extensive network of partners to explore and propose financial solutions tailored to the investment needs of EVN and its member companies.
SMBC also expressed its interest in continuing to work closely with EVN in the areas of energy infrastructure and sustainable development.
EVN Vice President Nguyễn Đình Phước thanked SMBC for its continued interest and support. He proposed that the two sides maintain regular exchanges and jointly explore feasible financing options that comply with applicable regulations and meet the implementation requirements of EVN’s projects.
The two sides agreed to continue working together to further develop and concretize appropriate areas of cooperation in the coming period.
