At 11:10 a.m. on August 13, 2026, Unit 1 of the Quang Trach 1 Thermal Power Plant Project successfully reached 100% of its rated load, with an actual output of 701.5MW. The operating parameters of the turbine and boiler remained stable. This marks an important milestone in the commissioning process, moving toward the unit’s commercial operation.
According to Power Project Management Board 2 (EVNPMB2), following the completion of key technical milestones, Unit 1 has continued to be operated, fabricated, and gradually increased in output in accordance with the commissioning program. By 11:10 a.m. on August 13, the unit had reached 100% of its rated load, corresponding to an actual output of 701.5MW.
During operation at 100% load, the turbine, boiler, and the unit’s operating parameters remained stable. This result provides a basis for the project participants to continue carrying out testing and calibration activities in accordance with the program before the unit is put into commercial operation.

Following the 100% load operation milestone, Unit 1 will continue to operate at different load levels to calibrate the boiler, turbine, and auxiliary equipment. This process aims to further inspect and evaluate technical parameters and the synchronous operation of the equipment system in accordance with the requirements of the commissioning program.
During this stage, EVNPMB2, Quang Trach Thermal Power Plant, the EPC contractor, and relevant units will continue to closely coordinate in operation activities, monitor technical parameters, and carry out scheduled testing activities, ensuring the safety of personnel and equipment.
The Quang Trach 1 Thermal Power Plant Project comprises two generating units with a total capacity of 1,403MW. Unit 1 reaching 100% of its rated load with an actual output of 701.5MW marks another important step forward in the commissioning process, toward the planned commercial operation of the unit.
