The meeting was also attended by representatives of the Norwegian Energy Partners (NORWEP) and several Norwegian companies specializing in the offshore wind sector.

During the meeting, Ambassador Hilde Solbakken highlighted the strong potential for cooperation between Vietnam and Norway in the development of offshore wind energy. She noted that the Norwegian companies participating in the delegation possess extensive expertise across the entire offshore wind value chain, including site surveys, engineering design, technical certification, installation, cable management, specialized marine lighting, as well as offshore operation and maintenance.

The Norwegian companies also shared international experience gained from offshore wind projects in both emerging and mature markets. They emphasized the importance of early-stage site surveys, technical standards, risk assessment, foundation technology selection, grid connection solutions, and lifecycle cost optimization in ensuring the successful development of offshore wind projects.

On behalf of EVN, Vice President Nguyen Tai Anh thanked the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Vietnam for its continued interest in supporting Vietnam's energy transition. He also expressed his appreciation for the valuable insights, practical experience, and cooperation proposals shared by the Norwegian companies.

The Norwegian side reaffirmed its readiness to share expertise and facilitate connections between EVN and Norwegian specialists and businesses in areas aligned with EVN's development needs. The participating companies also expressed their interest in further technical discussions with EVN's functional departments and project management units to explore future cooperation opportunities.
