During the meeting, the two sides discussed development directions in energy storage, shared insights on the demand and application potential of storage solutions in the power system and explored possible areas for cooperation aligned with current conditions and regulatory frameworks.

Representatives from SDIV noted that the company’s battery energy storage solutions have already been deployed in numerous countries, with multiple large-scale projects serving both power systems and industrial loads. Some of these projects have reached capacities of several hundred megawatt-hours and are operated under stringent safety standards.

Recognizing Vietnam’s promising development prospects in the field of battery energy storage, SDIV expressed a strong interest in further understanding EVN’s strategic direction, with a view to assessing the feasibility of providing tailored solutions that align with Vietnam’s specific conditions in the near future.

EVN leadership welcomed SDIV’s interest in the energy storage sector in Vietnam and emphasized EVN’s guiding principle of selecting technical solutions that are suitable for practical conditions, while ensuring safety, economic efficiency, and long-term operational stability of the power system.

Both parties agreed to continue professional exchanges as a basis for further exploring potential cooperation opportunities.
