On the morning of 31 October 2025, in Da Nang City, authorized by Vietnam Electricity (EVN), Mr. Ngo Tan Cu, President and CEO of Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC), presented EVN’s donation of VND 1 billion to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City to assist in overcoming the aftermath of the recent natural disasters.

Mr. Ngo Tan Cu shared that the prolonged heavy rainfall from October 26 to 30 severely affected EVNCPC’s 110kV, medium-voltage, and low-voltage power systems. Many areas had to undergo proactive power cuts to ensure safety, resulting in supply interruptions for nearly 476,000 customers. As soon as the water began to recede in some areas, EVNCPC mobilized all on-site forces from four power companies (Da Nang, Hue, Quang Ngai, and Quang Tri), in coordination with local contractors, to maintain 24/7 on-duty shifts and urgently inspect and restore the power system.  As of 7:00 a.m. on October 31, EVNCPC had restored power to nearly 170,000 customers and continued efforts to connect the grid back to safe and stable operation.

In the afternoon of the same day, authorized by EVN, Mr. Nguyen Dai Phuc – Director of Hue Power Company – handed over VND 1 billion to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City to support post-disaster recovery efforts. Ms. Pham Thi Ai Nhi – Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City – represented the local authority in receiving this financial support.
