EVNSPC completes 8 110kV power grid projects in first month of 2026

In January 2026, the Southern Power Corporation (EVNSPC) completed eight 110kV power grid projects in the provinces of Lam Dong, An Giang, Tay Ninh, Dong Thap, and the city of Can Tho.

Specifically, on January 31st in Can Tho city, EVNSPC energized the Binh Thuy 110/22kV Substation (installing a T2 transformer with a capacity of 63MVA) and the Tra Noc – Binh Thuy 110kV transmission line, with a total investment of over VND 66.9 billion; along with the renovation and upgrading project of the Long Hoa 110/22kV Substation, with a total investment of over VND 48.8 billion.

In Lam Dong province, in the last days of January, EVNSPC successfully energized two projects: the Tan Thanh – Ham Tan 2 220kV 110kV transmission line project, with a total investment of VND 151 billion (energized on January 29, 2026), and the Di Linh 110kV substation capacity upgrade project, with a total investment of over VND 23 billion (energized on January 31, 2026).

In An Giang province, EVNSPC completed two projects: the 110kV feeder line to the Cho Moi 220kV substation, with a total investment of over VND 8.6 billion (energized on January 31, 2026) and the 110kV feeder line to the Chau Thanh 220kV substation, with a total investment of VND 14 billion (energized on January 20, 2026).

In addition, EVNSPC also energized the Tan Thanh 110kV substation and connecting power lines in Tay Ninh province, with a total investment of over VND 109 billion; and the project to upgrade and renovate the My Thuan 110kV substation in Dong Thap province, with a total investment of over VND 21.8 billion.

Construction of Chau Thanh 220kV substation in An Giang province will be completed in January 2026.

Once completed and put into operation, these projects will contribute to improving the reliability and safety of power supply; strengthening grid connectivity and flexibility in operational management; and meeting the needs of socio-economic development and people's lives in the localities.

In 2026, EVNSPC aims to commence construction on 77 projects and energize 105 110kV power grid projects, with a total investment of approximately VND 17,260 billion. Of these, EVNSPC aims to complete 51 projects in the first four months of the year, achieving a milestone to celebrate its 51st anniversary (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2026).
