High-level delegation from European Union, French Embassy, and AFD visits Ialy Hydropower Expansion Project

On the morning of May 12, EVN Vice President Pham Hong Phuong hosted a working session with a high-level delegation from the European Union (EU), the French Embassy, and the French Development Agency (AFD) during their visit to the Ialy Hydropower Plant Expansion Project.
Representing EVN and its member units were Mr. Doan Tien Cuong, Director of Ialy Hydropower Company, and Mr. Nguyen Duc Minh, Deputy Director of Power Project Management Board No. 2.
The visiting delegation included Mr. Julien Guerrier, EU Ambassador to Vietnam; Mr. Olivier Brochet, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Vietnam; Mr. Herve Conan, Country Director of AFD in Vietnam; and accompanying members.

In his remarks, Vice President Pham Hong Phuong extended a warm welcome to the delegation and expressed appreciation for their time and interest in visiting the Ialy Hydropower Plant and its expansion site. He also conveyed EVN’s gratitude for the continued support from the European Union, the French Government, AFD, and the authorities of Gia Lai Province toward the successful implementation of the project.

During the session, EVN representatives provided an overview of the project’s progress and achievements and engaged in discussions with the delegation, welcoming their insights and recommendations. EVN also expressed its hope that the EU, France, and AFD would continue to support future projects with both financial resources and technological expertise.

All parties agreed that the successful support for the Ialy Hydropower Expansion Project marks a positive beginning. It sets the stage for further practical and effective cooperation between EVN and its international partners in upcoming energy projects.
