In first 6 months of 2025, EVNGENCO3 achieves output of more than 14 billion kWh

In the first 6 months of 2025, Power Generation Corporation No. 3 - Joint Stock Company (EVNGENCO3) recorded positive production and business results, with an electricity output of more than 14 billion kWh, completing nearly 50% of the yearly plan. The electricity production activities of EVNGENCO3's plants continued to operate safely and reliably, meeting the requirements of the national power system dispatch.

In June alone, electricity output reached 1,918 million kWh. Some typical units include: Mong Duong Thermal Power Plant reached 3,512 million kWh (52.12% of the plan), Phu My reached 4,053 million kWh (52.62%), Vinh Tan reached 3,851 million kWh (48.09%), Buon Kuop Hydropower Plant reached 1,027 million kWh (35.87%). Associated companies such as Vinh Son - Song Hinh (VSH), Thac Ba Hydropower Plant (TBC), Se San 3A (S3A) reached a total of 1,529 million kWh, equivalent to 55.65% of the plan. EVNGENCO3 is also synchronously implementing maintenance and repair work for generators to ensure high operating efficiency during the peak months at the end of the year. From August 1, 2025, Unit S1 - Mong Duong 1 Thermal Power Plant will enter its first overhaul period with more than 1,300 technical items, expected to be completed in 60 days.

EVNGENCO3 achieves output of over 14 billion kWh in  first 6 months of 2025

In parallel with production activities, EVNGENCO3 accelerated investment preparation and investment cooperation in a series of power projects according to the adjusted Power Plan VIII. The Corporation is currently the investor of 4 projects with a total capacity of 350MW, including: Srepok 3 floating solar power (50MW), Buon Kuop floating solar power (50MW), Srepok 3 expansion hydropower (110MW), Buon Kuop expansion hydropower (140MW); investment cooperation in projects with a total scale of over 6,100MW, ranging from solar power, wind power, LNG gas power to flexible power and storage energy, etc.

In particular, the Long Son LNG gas power project - a key power project in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province (formerly), is awaiting an investment policy decision in the third quarter of 2025. EVNGENCO3 and its partners are making efforts to participate in bidding and aim to operate the project before 2030. The Ninh Binh Flexible Power Plant Project, with a capacity of 300MW, is also being promoted by the Corporation for investment procedures.

With stable growth, a strategy for developing green - clean - efficient energy, and careful preparation for investing in power projects, EVNGENCO3 continues to affirm its position as one of the major power generation units in the national power system, contributing to ensuring national energy security and realizing EVN's target of sustainable energy transition.
