Expanding production and business

Recognizing that electricity infrastructure must be developed ahead of demand, in recent years the power sector in general, and the Southern Power Corporation (EVNSPC) in particular, has implemented numerous projects to invest in, renovate, and upgrade the rural power grid. Beyond expanding coverage, the quality of electricity supply has also continued to improve. A stable power supply has created favorable conditions for socio-economic development while improving the material and spiritual well-being of local people.

In the border commune of Dak Wil, where more than 63% of the population belongs to ethnic minority groups, a reliable electricity supply has enabled residents to confidently invest in water-saving irrigation systems, purchase machinery for processing coffee, pepper, and durian, and expand service businesses.

Thanks to a high-quality electricity supply, local people have been encouraged to invest in scientific and technological applications, including water-saving irrigation systems and agricultural machinery, while developing intensive farming models for coffee, pepper, durian, and other fruit trees to improve productivity and product quality.

In the border commune of Quang Truc, a stable electricity supply has made a significant contribution to transforming the rural landscape and improving residents' quality of life. A notable example is the residential area adjacent to the border militia outpost in Quang Truc Commune, which was invested in and constructed by Military Region 7 Command in coordination with the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee to provide housing for disadvantaged households and ethnic minority families. The residential area consists of 60 adjacent houses together with a complete transport, electricity, and lighting infrastructure system. After the houses were completed, Tuy Duc Power Company (under Lam Dong Power Company) promptly installed electricity meters, completed grid connections, and supplied safe and reliable electricity, contributing to the completion of the area's technical infrastructure and enabling residents to settle down and stabilize their lives.

Rural areas transformed, security and public order maintained

In addition to supporting production and economic development, the national power grid has also contributed to transforming the appearance of rural border areas. Roads connecting villages and communes are now illuminated at night, making travel more convenient, improving traffic safety, and helping reduce social evils.
