PTC2: Completes upgrade of Da Nang 500kV substation 11 days ahead of schedule

On the evening of March 2nd, at the Da Nang 500kV Substation, Power Transmission Company 2 (PTC2) successfully energized the project to upgrade the AT2 500kV transformer from 450MVA to 900MVA, completing the project 11 days ahead of schedule.
The project is being implemented according to the plan approved by the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT).

To ensure progress under tight deadlines, the Power Repair - Testing Team No.2 (PRT2) established a project command board and specialized teams, including primary transformer installation, secondary transformer installation, transformer testing, oil filtration and vacuuming, logistics, and support teams, with a total of 115 officers and workers participating. In addition to the unit's own workforce, PTC2 also mobilized additional personnel from the Cam Le Line Operation Management Team and the Da Nang 500kV Substation Operation Management Team (under Da Nang Power Transmission).
With high concentration and close coordination among the units, the project was completed and energized 11 days ahead of schedule. Upgrading the capacity of the Da Nang 500kV Substation contributes to strengthening transmission capacity and improving the reliability of power supply for Da Nang city and the Central region in the future.
