To ensure a safe and stable electricity supply in the Southern provinces, EVNSPC and its member companies have proactively deployed electricity-saving solutions, emphasizing the voluntary load response program (DR). As of May 2024, EVNSPC has signed non-commercial DR program participation agreements with nearly 7,000 customers with 1 million kWh/year or more electricity consumption.

In May, EVNSPC enhanced working with the Provincial People's Committees on the electricity supply situation, promoting the implementation of Directive 20/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister on electricity saving in the 2023-2025 period and next years. Regarding signing cooperation agreements with the Departments of Industry and Trade of provinces to promote the implementation of electricity-saving programs, EVNSPC has signed cooperation agreements with the Departments of Industry and Trade of provinces Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Tay Ninh, Long An, Dong Thap, Vinh Long, Ca Mau, Hau Giang, Bac Lieu, Can Tho City. EVNSPC will deploy and complete signing cooperation agreements with DOITs of the remaining provinces in June 2024.
In addition, in order to disseminate electricity-saving awareness in the community, EVNSPC has launched the contest "Save electricity - Become a habit" for all EVNSPC’s electricity customers via an online form on the Customer Care App and the contest "Saving electricity is saving money" for employees in EVNSPC. The contests take place from May to July 31, 2024. To date, over 60,000 customers and over 7,000 employees of the power sector have registered to participate in the contests.
