AT2 transformer – Muong Te 220kV substation was energized at 00:11 on 21 April 2021
Previously, the AT1 transformer had been energized on 26 February 2021.
The project is invested by the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) and implemented by CPMB. After the project is completed, it will be taken over by Power Transmission Company No.1 for management and operation.
Muong Te 220kV substation (located in Muong Te district, Lai Chau province) with a total investment cost of VND 436.68 billion is newly built as an outdoor substation, comprising two 220kV - 250MVA transformers. The 220kV side is installed according to the double busbar diagram, with full equipment for 7 feeders of 220kV; the 110kV side is installed according to the diagram of double busbar with bypass busbar, with full equipment for 14 feeders of 110kV and reserving space for installing more feeders in the future.
The completion of the entire Muong Te 220kV substation project will ensure the evacuation of power from small and medium hydropower plants in the Northwest to the national grid; strengthening the interconnection of regional power grids, improving the safety, reliability and stability in the operation of regional and national power grids; reducing capacity loss and power loss of transmission grids, increasing the business efficiency of EVNNPT.
