The Conference on summarizing the corporate performance in 2021 and deploying tasks in 2022 of EVNGENCO 2 took place on 1 November 2022, in Can Tho city.

In 2021, the production and business performance of the parent company EVNGENCO 2 and its daughter companies have been economically efficient, fulfilling financial targets, and preserving State capital at the corporation.
The year 2021 marked a critical milestone when the corporation completed its equitization, was successfully transformed and officially went into operation under the model of a joint-stock company from 1 July 2021. Up to now, EVNGENCO 2 has basically stabilized its operations under the new model.
The Corporation and its member organizations have coordinated well with the local authorities, especially with the local disaster prevention and control, search and rescue committees to effectively operate reservoirs, secure the safety of the downstream; perform well communication activities, promptly follow up and have a dialogue with local authorities and press agencies to provide objective information and create consensus among the people.

In addition to ensuring the progress, quality and effectiveness of the digital transformation tasks assigned by EVN, EVNGENCO 2 has piloted a number of solutions in its member organizations, typically the solution "Building a smart operation management software - Siemens XHQ” at A Vuong Hydropower Joint Stock Company.
Safely and flexibly operating power plants
In 2022, executing EVN's theme of the year "safe, flexible and effective adaptation", the Corporation has formulated a plan to ensure safe, stable and flexible operation of generating units, ready to promptly respond in all situations.

The Corporation has further saved costs; accelerated the progress of construction investment projects; completed the settlement of equitization; promoted corporate governance towards the public company model; completed the digital transformation tasks according to the plan assigned by EVN.

EVNGENCO 2 will keep on ensuring the availability of generating units to meet dispatching needs of the national power system; actively participating in the electricity market to achieve the highest revenue; securing progress, quality and funding sources for power investment projects being implemented; studying, developing and applying advanced scientific and technological applications; enhancing corporate governance, increasing revenue, reducing costs to improve operational efficiency and develop sustainably.

Some outstanding achievements of EVNGENCO2 in 2021
- Total electricity generation output: reaching 15,074 million kWh, accounting for nearly 12% of the total electricity generation output of EVN and GENCOs; accounting for 6% of the total output of the whole system.
- Total construction investment value: VND 1,764.824 billion.
- State budget contribution: VND 1,903 billion.
- Carrying out social security activities with a total value of more than VND 37 billion.
