Phu Lam-Binh Phu 110kV line extends from Phu Dinh 110kV substation to Binh Phu 110kV substation, with a total length of 2.8km, including a double-circuit power line and construction of 13 steel towers.
The Phu Lam-Binh Phu 110kV line project contributes to improving power supply capacity for the southwestern region of Ho Chi Minh city
The project went across an area with complicated and high density traffic, intersections with three inland waterways and Vo Van Kiet boulevard, so the construction met many obstacles. In addition, COVID-19 epidemic affected the work force of contractors.
In order to accelerate progress of the project, over the past time, in parallel with mobilization of households to dismantle works that encroached safety corridors that the line goes through, the Management Board of Ho Chi Minh City Power Grid Projects has concentrated force, means and rationalized construction plans. Thanks to that, the project was completed and put into operation on the occasion of celebrating the 75th anniversary of the National Day (2 September, 1945–2 September, 2020).
The Phu Lam-Binh Phu 110kV line project is phase 1 of an investment project to upgrade the Phu Lam-Phu Dinh 110kV power line, including two parallel 110kV line circuits, nearly 5.7km long with 29 mixed steel towers. Phase 2 of the project is expected to be completed by the end of 2020, contributing to improving power supply capacity for the southwestern area of the city.
