EVN’s General Director walking to respond to Earth Hour 2019 in Da Nang

On 30th March 2019, in Da Nang City, Mr. Tran Dinh Nhan - General Director of Vietnam Electricity attended the meeting and walking to respond to Earth Hour 2019. The event was organized by the Department of Industry and Trade of Da Nang City in coordination with Da Nang Power Company Limited (Central Power Corporation).

At this event, EVN’s General Director Tran Dinh Nhan, delegates and students walked in a parade through several streets of Da Nang City, with the message of calling on the community to save energy, raise awareness of climate change, etc.

According to Mr. Ngo Tan Cu - Director of Da Nang Power Company Limited, for responding to Earth Hour Campaign in 2019, the unit had implemented many forms of propagation for power saving such as hanging banners, slogans, parades by mobile vehicles on the main roads and sent 160,000 e-mails, 300,000 SMS messages to power users in order to improve effectiveness of propagation, mobilize people and enterprises to actively respond to the Campaign and power saving program for 2019.

 Not just in Da Nang, power units in the whole country have also implemented many activities to respond the Earth Hour such as: Clearing garbage on beaches, walking, cycling for propaganda, planting trees, exchanging paper for plants, etc.
