In Vietnam, CSGI has invested in Vinh Tan 1 Thermal Power BOT Project (in Vinh Tan Power Center, Binh Thuan Province). The capacity of this plant is 1,240MW. Its 2 units were officially operated from November 2018.
“EVN has provided support and facilitation as well as made contributions to completing the project 6 months ahead of the planned schedule. The plant has been producing electric power in stable manner. So far, it has generated more than 6.4 billion kWh to the national grid of Vietnam,” said Mr. Duong Hoa.
The CSGI’s General Director expressed his wish to continue receiving the support and cooperation from EVN. Besides, he also proposed expanding the cooperation between the two parties in the following areas: Developing smart power grids, investing in power source projects, etc.
Mr. Tran Dinh Nhan - EVN’s General Director said that EVN is willing to strengthen the cooperation with its partners, fulfilling the goal of meeting the power demand in Vietnam which is growing at a rate of over 10%/year, aiming at sustainable development.
Currently, Vietnam encourages the development of renewable energy, gas thermal power, etc. This is also an opportunity for CSGI to continue its investment activities in Vietnam.
