KOMIPO is currently one of the 8 largest power corporations in Korea, under Korea Electricity Corporation (KEPCO).
Currently, KOMIPO is seeking opportunities for cooperation and investment in thermal power projects in Vietnam. According to Mr. Kim Ho-bin, General Director of KOMIPO, by the earlier 2020, KOMIPO shall open a representative office in Vietnam. For that, this group wishes to cooperate and share experiences with EVN in the development of modern thermal technology, contributing to optimizing the production and business efficiency of EVN's power plants.

Appreciating KOMIPO's interest in the electricity in general and thermal power market in particular of Vietnam, EVN’s Deputy General Director Vo Quang Lam agreed with the leaders of KOMIPO on the cooperation plan to set up technical seminars and forums in the coming time to continue the intensive cooperation between the two Groups.
At the same time, EVN highly welcomed KOMIPO's experts to conduct field trips to study, survey and evaluate the process and actual operation of some thermal power plants of EVN.
At the meeting, the both sides also spent some time to share their experiences in the technology application in operating thermal power plant and deploying remote online monitoring system for thermal power units, etc.
