Power sector support installing lighting system after the meter for 100% of households on the Little island
Power supply project for Little Island invested by EVNCPC consists of two diesel generator units (2x 110 kVA), and a system of 0.4 kV double circuit distribution lines of 1,438m long running along the main road route and 4 single circuit branches of 1,460m running through the residential area and the cultivation area.
After 17 days of construction, the work was officially energized and power is supplied for about 100 households and agencies on the island.
Mr. Le Thanh Tung - Director of the Ly Son Power Branch, PC Quang Ngai said, beside the investment on the system before the meters, the power sector also supported installing the lighting system after the meters for the entire households on the island, including wires into the house, electrical panels, compact fluorescent lights in order for the residents to have electricity for use as soon as possible.
At the same time, EVNCPC also has plans for transportation and storage of diesel, especially during the rainy and stormy season so as not to interrupt the power supply to the households on the island.
After 1 year of supplying power from the national grid by sub-marine cables to the island communes of An Vinh and An Hai (Major Island), Ly Son island district, Quang Ngai province, EVNCPC has completed the investment for power supply to An Binh island commune (Little island), bringing electricity from the national grid to 100% of households in Ly Son island district, Quang Ngai province.
The power supply to the Little island will promote social and economic development of the locality and contribute to the protection of national sovereignty.
