With the message "Thousands of hearts - One compassion", the Fourth EVN Red Week (taking place from December 24 to 31, 2018) was jointly organized by EVN and its member organizations, in coordination with the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, humanitarian blood donation centers, health facilities and hospitals nationwide.
At the launching ceremony of the Fourth EVN Red Week at the headquarters of Vietnam Electricity (11 Cua Bac, Ba Dinh, Hanoi), more than 300 units of blood were donated.
In particular, in some member organizations, the Red Week also attracted family members of EVN’s employees and many local people.
Thanks to the active information and communication activities of EVN and its member organizations, the Fourth EVN Red Week contributed 9,720 blood units to the "blood bank" countrywide.
Children at the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion had a happy time in the program Playground for Children - Lightening Trust organized by EVN in early December 2018
Being touched by hearts of the power industry's employees, Dr. Bach Quoc Khanh, Director of the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, which co-organized EVN Red Week program, sent a thank-you letter to Vietnam Electricity.
In the letter, Dr. Bach Quoc Khanh shared that EVN had attached to and accompanied patients in the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion on a long-term charity and voluntary journey, where EVN’s employees not only assisted patients in emergency moments, but also devoted a persistent, sympathetic sharing of love to them through effective support programs such as study and play sessions; nutritious charity meals, convenient trips for transporting patients to their homelands and blood donation, etc.
Through EVN Red Week programs, the spirit of charity and volunteering of the power industry’s employees has been increasingly spreading. This activity demonstrates a magnanimous deed, a kind heart of every employee of EVN in particular and the power industry in general dedicated to the community.
