The program's overall objective is to raise awareness, responsibility, and foster habits and a culture of safe electricity use in society, focusing on preventing accidents and incidents caused by electricity, ensuring the safety of lives for electricity users, the community, and the property of organizations and individuals, contributing to the sustainable development of the nation.
Mobilize all domestic and international resources to promote technical solutions, management, application of science and technology, and dissemination of information and training to raise awareness and skills in safe electricity use in accordance with the law on electricity.
The goal is to reduce the number of fires caused by electrical short circuits and electric shock accidents by 50% by 2035 compared to that of the 2020-2025 period. The aim is also set to ensure that 100% of production and business establishments and households receive advice and guidance on self-assessing the safety level of their electrical systems.
100% of electrical equipment and appliances manufactured, imported, and circulated in the market must undergo quality control to meet the corresponding technical standards and regulations.
Encourage the installation of smart electrical safety protection devices for electrical systems in production facilities, residential buildings, commercial and service establishments, aiming for 100% equipping in all production, business, and service establishments; finalize documents and training materials on electrical safety and incorporate them into the system of the national general education curriculum.
Strive to complete and expand the results of research, application of science, technology, and technical solutions on electrical safety according to actual conditions.
