In Binh Phuoc province, the Southern Power Corporation (EVNSPC) has successfully energized two works: "Reinforcing the capacity of Chon Thanh 110kV substation from 2x40MVA to 2x63MVA" phase 2, on 30 December 2024 and Hoa Lu 110kV substation (Loc Ninh district) on 28 December.
The work " Reinforcing the capacity of Chon Thanh 110kV substation from 2x40MVA to 2x63MVA" phase 2 includes replacing the T2 transformer with a capacity of 2x40MVA to 2x63MVA. After completion, the work will contribute to improving the reliability of power supply to industrial parks in Chon Thanh town, Hon Quan district, and neighboring areas of Binh Duong province; increasing operational flexibility as well as gradually upgrading the distribution grid to the N-1 standard of power grid thanks to the transfer of power between 110/22kV substations in the area.
With a total investment of VND 103 billion, the Hoa Lu 110kV substation work, when put into operation, will not only have great significance in meeting the increasing electricity demand in the region and neighboring areas but also contribute to ensuring national defense and security, serving the daily life of people in border areas; promoting socio-economic development of Binh Phuoc province as well as the border area between the two countries.
In Binh Duong province, EVNSPC also energized and put into operation two works. Specifically, on the morning of 30 December 2024, EVNSPC in coordination with related units energized and put into operation the "110kV Feeder Work of Tan Uyen 220kV Substation" (Tan Uyen town). With a total investment of VND 56 billion, when put into operation, the work will contribute to providing power to the Khanh Binh and Khanh Van 110kV substations; ensuring safe and reliable power grid operation in normal and N-1 incident mode; creating a loop circuit connecting the Binh Hoa, Tan Uyen and Uyen Hung 220kV substations; meeting the demand for load development in the area and increasing the reliability of safe and stable power supply for 110kV substations in Binh Duong province.
The 110kV line phase division work of 02 circuits including 173 My Phuoc Hoa Thuan - Thoi Hoa - 176 My Phuoc (Ben Cat town, Binh Duong province), energized on 29 December 2024, contributing to increasing the transmission capacity on the existing line, meeting the power supply demand for the Hoa Thuan and Thoi Hoa 110kV/22kV substations by the N-1 criteria; increasing the reliability of power supply to 110kV substations in the area.

In Can Tho City, on 29 December 2024, EVNSPC energized the work to upgrade the Thot Not 2 - Thot Not 110kV line from 01 circuit to 02 circuits, to remove the T connection for the Thot Not 110kV substation (Thot Not district), ensuring safety in operation, stable power supply to Thoi Thuan and Long Xuyen substations, reducing power loss on the line.
In Hau Giang province, on 28 December 2024, EVNSPC also successfully energized the Tan Phu Thanh 110kV substation work and the connection line. Construction started on 28 June 2024, with the active support of local authorities in site clearance; the determination in direction and management of EVNSPC's Board of Directors; the efforts of related units in construction during holidays and working at night, the work was completed on schedule after 180 days of construction.
When put into operation, the work will contribute to supplying electricity to the load in Tan Phu Thanh Industrial Park and neighboring loads in Chau Thanh A district; peak-shaving for the existing Chau Thanh 110kV Substation, ensuring the load demand for Chau Thanh A district, meeting the N-1 criteria; reducing the power supply radius, improving voltage quality, reducing power loss on the regional distribution grid; contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of Chau Thanh A district in particular and Hau Giang province in general.
Inspecting before energizing work " Reinforcing capacity of Chon Thanh 110kV substation (Binh Phuoc) from 2x40MVA to 2x63MVA" phase 2, 30 December 2024
Previously, on the evening of 27 December 2024, EVNSPC organized the energization, completing phase 2 of the 110kV Line Feeder Project, Vinh Chau 220kV Substation, Soc Trang province. When put into operation, the work will contribute to increasing the power supply for 110kV substations in the area such as Vinh Chau, My Xuyen, My Thanh, and Hoa Tu, increasing flexibility in work management, operation, and maintenance; Improving the reliability of power supply for the area, ensuring to serve the socio-economic development needs of Soc Trang province to meet the N-1 criteria. In particular, the work also contributes to receiving and releasing the capacity of the wind power plants and solar power plants in the Vinh Chau area.
