Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son attends Nam Cum Substation Energization Ceremony

On January 22, at Nam Cum Village (Ngoi Cay Commune, Muong Ang District, Dien Bien Province), the People's Committee of Muong Ang District organized the energization of the first substation in the "Light Up Dien Bien" program in the district. Comrade Bui Thanh Son - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Foreign Affairs attended the ceremony.
The above substation is part of the project to supply electricity to people in Ngoi Cay Commune, Muong Ang District under the "Light Up Dien Bien" program. The project scale includes 3.7km of medium-voltage lines with 53 medium-voltage pole positions, 41 low-voltage pole positions with a length of 2.7km, 88 meters, and 7,520m of lines supply power to households, and 01 50kVA substation.
After 40 days of construction, the project was completed with close coordination between authorities at all levels, construction units, and the people's consensus to overcome difficulties due to the complex mountainous terrain, much equipment having to be imported from abroad, and a very short implementation time.

The energization of the Nam Cum substation, Ngoi Cay commune is of great significance as it has brought national grid electricity to 73 households in Nam Cum village. They are representing 533 households in 12 villages and hamlets of 7 communes in Muong Ang district that benefit from the "Light Up Dien Bien" program.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son affirmed that the completion of the power supply project in Nam Cum village and neighboring areas not only contributes to improving people's lives but also plays an important role in maintaining political security, sustainable economic development, and gradually narrowing the gap between regions.
Congratulating the people of Nam Cum village, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son and the delegation also presented many Tet gifts to households in difficult circumstances, bringing a warm atmosphere, full of affection on the occasion of the coming Tet and Spring.
The “Light Up Dien Bien” program is a rural electrification project from the national grid with a scale of supplying electricity to 10,400 households, including 118 without-electricity villages, with a total capital of more than VND 2,000 billion. The project aims to realize the goal of the Resolution of the 14th Dien Bien Provincial Party Congress by the end of 2025.
