The projects focus on improving the reliability of power supply, preventing overload, and meeting the production, business, and daily life needs of the people.

Accordingly, in the two years 2026-2027, Dong Thap province is to invest in approximately 450km of medium-voltage power lines, including over 143km of new construction and about 308km of improvement; and nearly 880km of low-voltage power lines, including 244km of new construction and over 630km of improvement.

In addition, nearly 1,500 substations shall be invested in, including new installations, capacity upgrades, and renovations, with a total capacity of nearly 271MVA. The total cost of implementation is approximately VND 1,007 billion, sourced from basic depreciation funds and commercial credit loans from the electricity sector.

According to the People's Committee of Dong Thap province, the synchronized investment in the power grid aims to ensure the 22kV grid connection between 110/22kV substations, effectively utilize substation capacity, gradually upgrade the power system from single-phase to three-phase in suitable areas; limit substation overload, reduce the power supply radius and power loss, and improve the quality of power supply.
