EVN promotes international cooperation in power system investment and infrastructure development

On February 12, in Hanoi, Mr. Dang Hoang An, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Electricity (EVN), held a meeting with a delegation from Redsun Capital to explore investment cooperation opportunities in Vietnam’s energy sector.
The Redsun Capital delegation included Mr. Adam Worthington, CEO and Founder of WFS Advisory Limited—an international financial and investment advisory firm, and Mr. Hunt Macnguyen, CEO of Redsun Capital Group, a private investment fund specializing in energy, real estate, and finance.

Redsun Capital is an investor and specialized advisory firm in energy sectors such as LNG, renewable energy, waste-to-energy, and power transmission. The group maintains strategic partnerships with leading global investment funds, equipment suppliers, and technology providers. Redsun currently holds 100% ownership of the Thanh Phong Wind Power Project (Ben Tre province) with a capacity of 29.7MW and a total investment of USD 50 million. Additionally, the group is investing in renewable energy projects with a total capacity exceeding 10GW, making a significant contribution to Vietnam’s green energy transition.
During the meeting, Redsun Capital expressed its interest in participating in power transmission projects in Vietnam, aiming to support the modernization and expansion of the national grid amid growing energy demand. The company also pledged to bring capital and advanced technology to enhance operational efficiency.
Redsun also shared some of the challenges it has encountered in implementing energy projects in Vietnam.
On behalf of EVN, Chairman Dang Hoang An affirmed that EVN welcomes and encourages investment cooperation initiatives to promote the sustainable and efficient development of the national power system.
