On January 9, in Hanoi, EVNPMB2 held a conference summarizing the work performance in 2024 and deploying the plan and tasks for 2025.

In 2025, Quang Trach II Thermal Power Plant Project to be commenced.

Speaking at the conference, Vice President Nguyen Tai Anh acknowledged, commended, and congratulated the achievements of EVNPMB2 in 2024. In particular, many projects have been put into operation on schedule, especially the Ialy Hydropower Plant expansion project, which was 18 days ahead of schedule.

Regarding the 2025 tasks, Vice President Nguyen Tai Anh requested the Party Committee of the Board to continue directing and urging the progress towards commencing  Quang Trach 2 Thermal Power Plant in 2025.

The Vice President also requested EVNPMB2 to promote digital transformation and apply science and technology in project management; complete targets and tasks to improve efficiency and increase labor productivity.

In 2024, Mr. Do Thanh Tai - Deputy Director of EVNPMB2 said that the Board has successfully completed the tasks assigned by EVN, typically completing the generation of both units of the Ialy Hydropower Plant expansion; the Quang Trach I Thermal Power Plant project meeting the progress milestones approved by EVN; energizing the Vinh Hao 220kV Transformer Station and the connecting 220kV line; energizing the Dak Ooc 220kV Switching Station and the 220kV connection lines; other projects such as Phuoc Thai 2 and Phuoc Thai 3 Solar Power Plants, the Phuoc Thai - Phuoc Huu 110kV line project, Phuoc Thai - Phuoc Huu DL1 are eligible for energization in December 2024; the Monsoon - Thanh My 500kV line project meets the completion target in January 2025.

In 2025, EVNPMB2 will continue to strive to complete the tasks and plans assigned by EVN, focusing on managing projects to ensure quality and progress; ensuring jobs and income for employees; and synchronously and effectively implementing tasks and solutions to save and combat wastefulness in construction investment activities and other related fields. One of the specific goals is to ensure the goal of burning oil and synchronizing Unit 1 of the Quang Trach I Thermal Power Plant project before September 2, 2025, as directed by the Prime Minister.
