During 23-27 February 2025, a series of 110kV grid works were energized in the provinces of Dong Thap, Tien Giang, Ben Tre, and Binh Duong. These are practical achievements towards celebrating the 50th anniversary of the establishment and development of the Southern Power Corporation (30 April 1975 – 30 April 2025).

From 23-27 February 2025, the Southern Power Corporation (EVNSPC) energized 3 110kV grid works in Dong Thap province. Specifically, on the evening of 27 February 2025, EVNSPC tested and energized the Tan Hong 110kV substation of Tan Hong 110kV substation work and the connection line. This project brings an important meaning, supplying electricity to large-load industrial clusters and neighboring Cambodia.

On 25 February 2025, EVNSPC also completed the work to upgrade and renovate the  Tam Nong 110kV Substation (T2-63MVA), putting the T2 transformer of the  Tam Nong 110kV Substation into operation. Thereby, the work not only solves the overload problem but also creates favorable conditions for the development of local production and business. The project also contributes to improving power transmission capacity and reducing power loss on the grid.

Previously, the 171-bay work at the  Tam Nong 110kV Substation of the  Tam Nong-An Long 110kV transmission line project was also successfully energized and put into operation on 23 February 2025. The work contributes to improving the reliability of power supply for the 110kV substations of Thap Muoi, Tam Nong, An Long, Hong Ngu, Truong Xuan, and other 110kV substations in the region; meeting the demand for regional load development in the period 2016 - 2030 and after 2030, creating a premise for the gradual development of smart distribution grids.

In Tien Giang, after 45 days of "lightning-speed" construction, the work to increase the capacity of replacing the T2-40MVA transformer with a 63MVA transformer at the  Go Cong 110kV substation, Go Cong city has been energized and officially put into operation on 24 February  2025. The work contributes to solving the urgent need for power use in the locality; especially ensuring power supply to handle drought, saline intrusion, and pumping fresh water for people's daily life during the hot and dry season.

In recent days, EVNSPC has also accepted and energized 6 works in Ben Tre and Binh Duong provinces.

Specifically, in Ben Tre province, EVNSPC energized and accepted 2 works: Phu Thuan 110kV substation, Binh Dai district, and An Hiep 110kV substation of the An Hiep 110kV substation work and the 110kV line from Ben Tre 220kV line - An Hiep 110kV line, Chau Thanh district.

In Binh Duong province, EVNSPC energized and accepted 4 works, including An Lap 110kV substation and connection line, Thanh An 110kV substation, Cong Xanh 110kV substation and connection line, Vsip2-MR2 110kV substation (Vinh Loi substation).
