On the afternoon of November 30, the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) and the Central Power Projects Management Board (CPMB), in coordination with related units, successfully energized the Do Luong - Nam Cam 220kV transmission line project in Nghe An Province.

The Do Luong - Nam Cam 220kV transmission line project is constructed across the communes of Thuan Trung, Bach Ha, Van Kieu, Phuc Loc, Thuan Linh, Nghi Loc, and Yen Trung in Nghe An Province.

The project comprises two 220kV transmission circuits, spanning a total length of approximately 37km, running from the Do Luong 220kV Substation to the Nam Cam 220kV Substation. The section from G4 to G6 (about 4km in length) includes four circuits, sharing the same route with the two Do Luong - Nam Dan 110kV transmission circuits. The feeder bay extension at the Do Luong 220kV Substation includes installing equipment for two 220kV feeder bays in the existing Do Luong 220kV substation and connecting the communication system for the Do Luong - Nam Cam 220kV transmission line.

Upon completion, the project will supply the power needs of the Central region, which hosts several current and future major industrial loads in Nghe An Province, contributing to the province’s socio-economic development.

At the same time, the project enhances the interconnection between northern Vietnam’s power grid and Laos, helping to alleviate power shortages in the northern region and supporting other transmission lines in the area to operate more safely and stably. The project also helps reduce transmission losses and improve the operational efficiency of EVN and EVNNPT.

Completing the project ahead of schedule was made possible thanks to the decisive involvement of local authorities, the cooperation of residents along the project route, and the strong leadership of EVNNPT and CPMB, along with the dedication of all contractors involved. The completion of the project is a practical achievement by EVNNPT and CPMB in celebration of the 5th EVNNPT Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030, held from November 30 to December 1, 2025, in Hanoi.
