New vitality in mountainous villages since accessing national grid

With efforts to bring the national grid to the villages of difficult mountainous communes, up to now, the Northern Power Corporation (EVNNPC) has supplied electricity to 99.5% of households. Many villages have changed dramatically since accessing electricity.

99.5% of households have access to national grid

After many years of efforts to implement the project of supplying electricity to without-electricity mountainous villages, up to now, the Northern Power Corporation (EVNNPC) has completed bringing the national grid to 100% of communes, wards, and towns in 27 Northern provinces and cities, with over 99.5% of households using the national grid.

Many remote villages were previously considered "villages without electricity" and faced many difficulties, but since accessing the national grid, the local socio-economic picture has shown many bright colors, and people's lives have been constantly improved.

According to the representative of EVNNPC's leadership, if it was purely for business purposes, investing in the power grid for highland villages would not be feasible, because the investment, management, and operation costs are very high while the revenue is very poor. However, EVNNPC determined that the task of bringing electricity to villages without electricity is to realize the policy of the Party and State to promote economic development, improve people's knowledge, help people develop production, stabilize their lives, maintain security and order, and ensure the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland.

Therefore, in recent years, EVNNPC has focused all resources on implementing the program to bring electricity to people in remote areas.

Through the efforts of the Northern Power Industry to bring electricity to remote areas, it has become a new breath of life, creating more motivation to help people in difficult areas develop their economy and stabilize their lives.

We believe that with the support of local authorities, combined with strong investment from EVNNPC, the national grid will be brought to 100% of households in highland villages soon, thereby continuing to contribute to strengthening the people's firm belief in the Party.
