In the context of a very high increase in power consumption demand in the North due to prolonged intense heat, power generation is also facing difficulties, some thermal power units encountered problems such as Cam Pha, Thang Long, Quang Ninh, Ninh Binh, Mong Duong 2 plants with a total estimated non-generating capacity of about 1,555MW.
To limit the risk of local incidents on the power grid as well as the risk of fire and explosion in the family and to ensure a balance between power supply and demand, EVN recommends that people, offices and production units should pay attention to the safe and economical use of power, especially during peak hours at noon and in the evening, specifically at noon from 11:30 to 14:30, in the evening from 20:00 to 22:00. At the same time, attention should be paid to the rational use of air conditioners (set at 27 degrees or higher, used in combination with fans) and pay attention not to use many electrical appliances with large capacity at the same time. In the context that the price of input fuels for power production has increased very high since the beginning of the year until now (such as coal, gas, oil, etc.), the economical use of power is even more necessary and meaningful to contributing to cost reduction for the national electricity system.
