EVN’s leaders, Party Committee, and Vietnam Electricity Union gave presents to patients at the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion
Mr. Vo Quang Lam – EVN’s Vice President said that, together with efforts to ensure sufficient electricity for the country's socio-economic development and people's life, Vietnam Electricity has always been aware of their responsibility to the society and the community.
This is the third consecutive year that EVN has organized EVN Red Week. In 2017, with the message "Thousands of Hearts - One Compassion", Vietnam Electricity and Vietnam Electricity Union have called on all employees to donate blood, giving patients opportunities to live or prolong their lives by precious drops of blood of EVN’s people.

On this occasion, EVN presented 100 gifts to support patients with difficult family situation being treated at the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion with the desire to "light up the trust", giving them and their families hope, motivation and confidence to conquer the disease.
Mr. Le Lam - Deputy Director of the National Institute of Hematology - Blood Transfusion on behalf of the patients thanked the power sector’s employees for their blood donation.
Attending the ceremony, Nguyen Thanh Tuyen a 25 years old patient from Bac Ninh province shared that she had blood cancer from July 2017. Despite payments made by insurance carriers, each treatment of chemotherapy costs her family several tens of millions dong. Due to the difficult situation, she could not continue her cure at the hospital. But now with the kindheartedness and the help of EVN’s employees, she will continue her cure and fighting with the disease so that she can soon come back to her family for raising two young children.
Organized in the month of EVN’ Customer Gratitude, the Red Week is an activity of the employees of power sector towards the society and community, especially when the country is in need of blood reserve. This is also one of the activities to celebrate the 63rd anniversary of Power Sector Traditional Day (December 21, 1964 – December 21, 2017).
At the first and second EVN Red Weeks in 2015 - 2016, EVN’s employees contributed a total of 12,852 blood units to the blood bank nationwide.

Vice President of the Vietnam Electricity Union Do Duc Hung shared that he felt touched every year participating in the Red Week.
Together with the program "Customer Gratitude Month and many other activities", Red Week is one of the important activities in celebrating the Vietnam Power Traditional Day (December 21)
A lot of staffs and employees of EVN and other organizations in the power sector based in Hanoi participated in blood donation right after the launching ceremony.
