On EVN’s side, representatives from several specialized departments attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Mr. Pitan Daslani Ma provided an overview of PUANG’s operations and capabilities. Notably, PUANG and Minh Khue Trading and Services Co., Ltd. serve as official authorized sales representatives of PT. Semesta Meratus Energi—one of Indonesia’s major coal mining companies—for the Asian and Vietnamese markets.

Mr. Pitan expressed a strong desire to establish a long-term partnership and become a reliable coal supplier to EVN.

On behalf of EVN, Chairman Dang Hoang An expressed appreciation for PUANG’s interest in collaboration. He stated that Vietnam’s total average coal import volume is currently around 44 million tons per year, of which EVN alone accounts for approximately 20 million tons. In the near future, Vietnam’s total coal import demand is expected to increase by an additional 5 million tons annually. This underscores the strategic importance of international suppliers such as PUANG.

Both parties agreed to continue in-depth discussions in the time ahead to explore concrete cooperation opportunities.
