EVN Vice President Nguyen Tai Anh welcomes and works with Shanghai Electric Wind Power Group

On the morning of 7 January 2025, in Hanoi, EVN Vice President Nguyen Tai Anh welcomed and worked with the Shanghai Electric Wind Power Group (SEC) delegation, which visited and discussed cooperation opportunities in the energy sector.

Participating in the SEC delegation, there were: Mr. Wang Yong, General Director of the SEC Group; Mr. Zhao Wenxuan, International Director of the SEC Group, and other members of the Board of Directors.

At the meeting, Mr. Wang Yong, General Director of Shanghai Electric Wind Power Group, outlined the overall picture of the Group's business operations. Accordingly, SEC operates in the fields of design, development, and production of wind turbines; design, construction, installation, operation, and maintenance of wind farm equipment; provides technical services, wind power consultancy as well as resource development and investment management. In the Vietnamese market, SEC also acts as the general contractor for several thermal power projects.

SEC leaders expressed their desire to cooperate with EVN in wind power projects. They said they are willing to share knowledge and experience in training human resources, providing technical solutions, etc.

EVN Vice President Nguyen Tai Anh highly appreciated SEC's cooperation proposals; and expressed his confidence that with its international capacity and experience, SEC can participate more deeply in Vietnam's energy transition process, especially in the context of increasing demand for investment in renewable energy as it is today.

Shanghai Electric Wind Power Group is a subsidiary of China Shanghai Electric Group, engaged in all types of power generation, energy storage, and industrial automation. SEC currently has 13 manufacturing centers, 7 research centers, 4 testing centers, and 15 regional service centers.
