This year’s forum, themed “Innovation for Profit - Turning data, AI and customer insights into real profits”, took place on August 21, 2025, in Ho Chi Minh City, co-hosted by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade. The event brought together enterprise leaders, technology experts, and investors, focusing on three key pillars of the digital economy: branding, corporate transformation, and user experience.

Representing EVNHCMC in the discussion session, Mr. Pham Quoc Bao - Chairman of the Board of Directors of EVNHCMC affirmed that the nearly half-century development journey of EVNHCMC has always been closely linked to the development of Ho Chi Minh City - a dynamic, modern, and affectionate city. EVNHCMC has not only successfully completed its mission of ensuring stable, safe, and quality power supply for more than 3.8 million customers but also pioneered in building the image of a "service enterprise" with the motto "electricity goes one step ahead".

According to Mr. Bao, data, technology, and people are the foundations that determine success in the journey of digital transformation. EVNHCMC has deployed a smart grid with a 100% automation system, integrating AI, IoT, Big Data, and Cloud Computing for flexible operation management. Thanks to that, the time to restore power when there is an incident has been shortened from hours to less than a minute.

At the same time, EVNHCMC focuses on building a digital culture and training high-quality human resources. The Digital Culture Handbook, the Innovation Club, and nearly 2,000 technical improvement initiatives in the past have affirmed the spirit of "dare to innovate, dare to create" of the collective of workers. The results of digital transformation and infrastructure modernization have made EVNHCMC one of the leading enterprises in the country. According to SP Group Singapore's assessment in 2024, EVNHCMC's smart grid system ranked 41/92 globally and ranked second in ASEAN. In addition, EVNHCMC is also the first state-owned enterprise in Vietnam to achieve level 4/5 in digital transformation.

In his speech, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of EVNHCMC affirmed that by 2030, the enterprise aims to become a leading unit in the Asia-Pacific region in science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation in the field of electricity. By 2045, EVNHCMC aims to become a comprehensive digital enterprise, a pioneer in developing a green and clean economy, accompanying Ho Chi Minh City on the path to becoming a green, modern, and globally competitive megacity.
