The campaign was launched by EVN’s Youth Union to commemorate the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947–July 27, 2026). The campaign was implemented from July 1, 2026, with its peak activities taking place from July 20 to July 27, 2026. Following the direction of the EVN Youth Union's Standing Committee, Youth Union organizations at all levels proactively carried out a coordinated series of practical gratitude activities tailored to local conditions.

As of July 27, Youth Union organizations across EVN had visited and presented gifts to 746 families of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, wounded and sick soldiers, policy beneficiary families, and people with meritorious services to the revolution; conducted environmental clean-up activities and inspected and installed lighting systems at 145 historical and revolutionary sites; provided funding and support for the construction and repair of 23 gratitude houses and other facilities for policy beneficiary families; and repaired, replaced, and upgraded electrical systems for 54 policy beneficiary households and families of people with meritorious services to the revolution.

Notable activities included the handover of a youth project entitled “Solar Power System” at the Memorial Site of late Prime Minister Vo Van Kiet in Vinh Long Province; the presentation of three “Lighting up country roads” projects, with a total value of VND 150 million, in Son Thuy, Pu Nhi, and Ngoc Trao communes in Thanh Hoa Province; the provision of VND 120 million to support the repair of two gratitude houses in Thoi Lai Commune, Can Tho City; and participation in a candle-lighting ceremony in tribute to fallen heroes and martyrs organized by the Youth Union of the Ministry of Finance.

Assessing the results of the campaign, Comrade Pham Xuan Minh Tri, Member of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and Secretary of the EVN’s Youth Union, said:

“Surpassing our expectations, this year's campaign has generated a strong ripple effect, receiving a 100% response from all affiliated Youth Union organizations, while also attracting the participation of Youth Union organizations outside the EVN’s Youth Union.”

First launched in July 2024, the “Connecting the circuit of gratitude” Campaign has become a key highlight of EVN youth volunteer activities during each commemoration of War Invalids and Martyrs Day. The collective efforts and solidarity of EVN's young people have created a strong and enduring current of gratitude, helping preserve and promote the Vietnamese tradition of “remembering the source when drinking water.”
