Delegation from Czech Republic Embassy and Czech Mining Technology Association works with EVN

On May 20, 2025, Mr. Nguyen Tai Anh, Vice President of Vietnam Electricity (EVN), hosted a working session with a delegation from the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Hanoi and the Czech Mining Technology Association (CDT) to explore potential areas of cooperation.
The Czech delegation included Ms. Nikola Sichlerova – Economic Counsellor; Ms. Mai Thu Linh – Assistant for Trade & Development; Mr. Daniel Vacek – Vice President of CDT; Mr. Zdenek Vesely and Mr. Pavel Kamaryt – Directors of ALTA Company.
From EVN, the session was attended by Vice President Nguyen Tai Anh and representatives from the corporation’s functional departments.

During the meeting, Mr. Daniel Vacek introduced CDT’s business operations. CDT consists of 16 member companies primarily engaged in supplying equipment and conducting research on mining technologies and methods.
Currently, CDT is developing several technologies and equipment for coal-fired thermal power plants, including: GE online coal quality analyzers for real-time monitoring; Enelex thermal imaging systems for applications such as coal yard and conveyor fire prevention, product analysis, and monitoring; and automatic samplers for collecting samples from conveyor belts.

These technologies have already been implemented in various countries. CDT expressed its interest in cooperating with EVN to help enhance the performance of its coal-fired power plants.
Speaking at the meeting, EVN Vice President Nguyen Tai Anh praised CDT’s recent business achievements and acknowledged their proposal to collaborate on the development of advanced technologies and equipment for coal-fired power plants. He emphasized that the technologies introduced by CDT are highly relevant for improving the reliability and operational optimization of such facilities.
